TATA’s had to cough up 2.5 billion USD to acquire Jaguar and Land rover. There was a time when we used to contribute 22% of world’s GDP and then came the British and India was decimated, well almost. To Brit rulers credit, they gave us infrastructure and political system which today forms the very basis of India’s resurgence on the world scene.
