Admissions 2009 : IMI Delhi notification is out

IMI was setup in year 1981 and its first course commence in year 1984. IMI started with a one year programme and for years this programme remained IMI’s flagship program. Later IMI started various programmes namely,

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is a two year full-time programme approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and has been recognized by the Association of India Universities (AIU) as equivalent to MBA
  • Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (Human Resource) PGDM - HR is a two year full-time programme approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and has been recognized by the Association of India Universities (AIU) as equivalent to MBA
  • Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Executive PGDM) is a 15 months full-time programme recognized by the Ministry of Human Resources, Govt. of India. It is targeted at participants looking for an exposure in international business. This programme therefore requires the participants to have prior experience in industry.
  • Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM - Part Time) is a three year part-time programme for working executives. This programme is recognised by Ministry of Human Resources, Govt. of India, and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Delhi, again is an advantage that IMI enjoys. Apart from this guest faculty is regularly flown in to deliver lectures.

Eligibility

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 50% aggregate marks in any discipline under 10 + 2+ 3 system from a recognized University.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.
  • Candidates appearing in the final year of their bachelor’s degree are also eligible, provided they complete all formalities of their examination before June 30, 2009 and furnish the proof of having met the minimum eligibility criteria by September 30, 2009.
  • Valid CAT 2008 score.

  • How to apply

    An applicant can apply for the other long term program (PGDM-HR) on an additional payment of Rs.500 for an additional application form through the following means.

    • By cash payment at IMI
    • By post (enclosing demand draft drawn in favour of IMI payable at Delhi)
    • On-line application (need to make a payment by credit card) (on-line availability and mailing of  Brochure  and  Application material  will  begin  from  August  8, 2008).
