Historic MH-CET exams

MH-CET is conducted by Department of Technical Education or DTE Maharashtra. The exam over the years has had a very varied pattern, infact CET traditionally has had no pattern at all. MH-CET 2005 had 200 questions, 150 minutes and no negative marking. There were no sections and hence no sectional cut-offs. Reasoning was the main section , with 95 out of 200 questions falling in this category. Quantitative aptitude was small with only 20 questions falling under this category. Reasoning, Data Interpretation were tougher as compared to other sections of the exams.

CET Maharashtra 2006 was conducted in February 2006. Paper, structurally, was same as CET 2005. Five options per questions, no negative marking and 200 questions in 150 minutes. However, paper was overall tougher as compared to CET 2005. Ratio-proportion, time speed distance, profit and loss, spelling correction, sentence correction were some of the topics on which question paper was based.

CET 2007 also was on the same pattern as CET 2005 and CET 2006. No surprises on pattern front. Quantitative sectioned gained importance, with 30 questions from this section. There were questions from probability, number system, linear equations, time speed and distances in this paper. In English section questions were of fill in the blank, spelling correction and sentence correction type. In reasoning questions were from logical reasoning and visual reasoning.
