Would you believe it : CAT 2009 will not be scrapped

How awesome is this. We have a news which is like music to most of you and noise to some of you. CAT 2009 committee which met earlier today ruled that CAT 2009 exam will not be scrapped. Instead, they will be conducting fresh exam for those students who do not fall under the category ‘most’ or as they put it
“Students who were genuinely affected by the technical glitches”. Now how on God’s good green earth are they going to establish genuinity of suffering is a billion euro (dollar is fading out as a currency) question.
I have a friend who had Bangalore as centre, Poor guy travelled to Bangalore to Mysore on test day and to his horror his centre was one of those hurt by the alleged virus attacks. His test was promptly postponed and he was told that his exam date will be rescheduled to a later date and he will be informed about the rescheduling. This guy took next bus out to Mysore and reached back at about 3 am. To his horror he received an SMS saying that his exam was rescheduled at 10am next morning. Now how do you expect this guy to give the exam in peace and with calm head? Will they treat such cases as genuine cases?
