January is going to be a big month for all MBA aspirants aspiring to get into some B-school in 2010. XAT 2010, FMS 2010, NMAT  2010 and CAT 2009 retest are all lined up in month of January.

XAT 2010 : 3rd January 2010

First up will be XAT 2010. XAT 2010, in my opinion, is now as important as CAT 2009. With all the uncertainties attached to CAT 2009, a good performance in XAT 2010 will ensure that you will have a good shot at two of the best b-schools in the country, XLRI and XIMB. XAT 2010, just like previous XAT’s will have an essay which is generally on a social issue.

FMS 2010

Next on road to mba is FMS 2010 on the 10th of January. FMS 2010 will be a two hour exams with lots of questions to solve. FMS has one of the most elaborate selection procedures and this test is the first step towards it.

CAT 2009 retest

CAT 2009 retest will be conducted for around 8000 candidates who were genuinely undone by the glitches in CAT 2009 CBT. It was announced that CAT 2009 for those kids will be conducted in second half of January. Lets see when they conduct the test and more importantly at what locations.

NMAT 2010

NMAT 2010 is going computer based once again. If I am not wrong they did try to go online a few years back, but then again shifted to Paper mode. Lets see what the exam holds for you guys. NMAT 2010 will start on January 30th.
