Australian team is dead against Symonds being called a Monkey, but I guess entire Australian team and entire Australia have very conveniently forgotten that Australia still owes an apology to Symonds tribe for all the wrongs done to them. And, the most amazing thing is that australia, as a country is against tendering an apology to the monkey tribe. I guess Australia should first set their home right and …

its finally there.. Oil just crossed 100$ per barrel. that would mean a STEAP hike in petrol and diesel prices across India. Gosh I have been waiting for this. They had been raising auto lpg prices like anything with no change whatsoever in petrol and diesel charges. Atleast now they will be forced to raise the prices.

Benazir bhutto finally got her ticket to junnat. I know thats a bad thing to say for someone who died a few years ago. But, come on, in a way I am hoping that she gets to spend her time in the heavens. May she rest in peace.

I was just going through the visitor stats for this blog and I realised that about 80% of my visitors are using MS Internet Explorer.

Today Saurav Ganguly is playing in his 100th test. Not many gave him a chance to do so, atleast I never thought that he will play again. But there he is at MCG, standing tall amongst equals, getting ready to prove yet another point.
A few years back (during the time when he was dropped) he was featured in an ad campaign for some product, I dont remember the product, but that ad campaign was special for more than one reason. It was probably the first time that he publicly accepted …

1. Acrobat : In ubuntu, there is absolutely no alternative to adobe acrobat. Pdfedit is trying to emulate acrobats functionalities but they are too far from realising the goal.
2. Microsoft OneNote : Lets face it, one note is simply the most outstanding piece of software created by microsoft in recent times. There is no alternative to Onenote in windows, so hoping for a viable alternative in ubuntu is a bit unfair.
3.Games : there are not enough games. I miss Rise of nations, Cricket, Age of empires, Civilization, Simcity.
4. iTunes : …

It is amazing how web is changing the conventional learning system and how it is fast changing the idea of democracy. Wikipedia started this goldrush where in “We the people” were given the power to write history, the way we see it. Then came lot of websites which further finetuned or tweaked this concept, yahoo! answers, google scholars etc. And now we have scribd.com. An amazing site with breathtaking documents on anything, absolutely anything, from basic DIY guides to complex scientific research material. You name it they have it. Hats …
